3rd Annual Uniquely Uxbridge Day September 5th
On Saturday, September 5th, Uxbridge will be celebrating their THIRD Annual Uniquely Uxbridge Day at the Town Common. This day is to enjoy all the things that make us a great community to live in! Local businesses will be open, several landmarks and points of interest will be open for tours, festivities will be going on at the Town Common and downtown, and we will end the day at the town wide picnic and entertainment at Pout Pond.
Part of what makes Uxbridge a fabulous community to how we support others in need. In past years, Uniquely Uxbridge Day has contributed to the Fire Victim Fund of 2013, and made generous donations to our Local Fire and Police Departments in 2014. In 2015, we are pleased to announce the creation of the UU Legacy Fund. As in the past, all of the monies raised are given directly back, 100%, into the community, our community. The UU Legacy Fund will do that as well, by providing a Scholarship for a deserving Uxbridge Resident. Stay tuned for additional information on this excited venture.
The day starts at 10am in the Town Common. Come down, do some shopping, visit with the local crafters and artisans, and have the kids take part in the Kidz Korner activites! Along with face painting, balloon animals, games and prizes for the kids and more! Drop off a canned good and receive One (1) Free Raffle ticket!
Also downtown there will be a scarecrow contest. Residents, community groups and local businesses will be decorating their own scarecrow and you get to vote for your favorite! Stroll around town and visit our local stores that will be decorating their store fronts.
Did you know we have an Antique Fire Truck Museum here in town? This and other points of interest are generously opening their doors to us that day. Find the complete list and times at the event page of We are Uniquely Uxbridge Facebook group. Print off the list and drive around to visit something new!
At 3pm head down to Pout Pond for a Town Picnic, bring your own picnic and enjoy local music and see who has won the amazing Raffle prizes. Uxbridge is a great town with many fantastic businesses, people, and places to visit! Please come out on Saturday, September 5th and support our local families and our Unique town!
