Amy Roloff to Speak at the Empowering Women in Business Conference

Television personality, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and motivational speaker, Amy Roloff will deliver the keynote address at the fifth annual Empowering Women in Business Conference (EWIB) on March 26, 2015.

Hosted by the Institute for Women’s Leadership at Nichols College, and offered as part of the College’s Bicentennial celebration, the event will take place on the campus from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with an informal networking session concluding the evening.

As we celebrate our fifth annual conference, we could not be more proud or excited for this year’s offerings. Thanks to our generous keynote sponsor, Dexter-Russell, Inc., we’re thrilled to welcome Amy Roloff,” says Jean Beaupre, Faculty Director of the Institute for Women’s Leadership. “She has an amazing story to tell, and we know that anyone who joins us will come away inspired and energized.”

During her presentation on the topic of Succeeding at the Entrepreneur of YOU Both Personally and Professionally,” Roloff will draw from her experiences as a business/farm owner who has overcome major personal and public challenges, much of which has been chronicled on the television show, Little People, BIG World. Her passion is to inspire and motivate others to have their own personal success.

In addition to the keynote, the conference will feature two consecutive workshop sessions with topics ranging from starting a business, developing a personal finance plan, job hunting in the 21st century, enhancing communications skills, and improving one’s health.

Amy Roloff high resI am continually impressed by our attendees,” Beaupre adds. “These are busy, modern women who are juggling work, home, and a multitude of responsibilities – but they make the time for an opportunity for professional development and networking. This year, we look forward to welcoming returning attendees and hope to see many new faces – it is most certainly an evening well spent!”

Attendees are once again encouraged to bring gently-used professional clothing and accessories to benefit “Dress for Success” Worcester, an organization which provides attire and support to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women.

Thanks to the generous donations from additional local businesses, including lead sponsor Webster Five, the cost of registration is a minimal $25.00 per person. Pre-registration is required. For more information or to register, visit the conference website:
