Business Spotlight – Native Grill & Wings
In April, 2017, owners Andy & Nancy Colby opened a new restaurant in the area called Native Grill & Wings. This new to the area eatery is tucked away in the Oxford Marketplace, 111 Sutton Ave, Oxford MA. They specialize in traditional bone in chicken wings but also serve a full menu which consists of boneless wings, pizzas, sandwiches, salads and more.
Native Grill & Wings has a bit of history. In 1978, Floyd and Judy Anderson packed their four daughters into a car in Buffalo, New York and set off for Arizona to follow their dream of owning and running a restaurant. They bought a small local pizza place and renamed it “Native New Yorker”. The Andersons were the first to bring chicken wings to Arizona, and they were an instant hit! Native New Yorker began receiving awards for their wings almost immediately.
In 2014, Native New Yorker officially updated its name to Native Grill & Wings. Besides Oxford MA, Native Grill & Wings have locations in Texas, South Dakota, Montana & Idaho.
When you walk in the door you are greeted by a friendly hostess who helps you get settled. You can either sit right in the lounge area or in a quieter area away from the bar.
Native Grill & Wings is equipped with a full bar that has 16 beer taps and a large selection of bottled beers. They have the Sunday NFL Ticket and house 14 large screen TV’s with 2 of them at 94”! In addition to the NFL Sunday ticket, they offer Opinionation (a trivia game with teams) Wednesday nights at 7:30pm. Native also features Live Music on Friday nights starting at 8pm.
Celebrating 5 months in business, Crystalle Gaudet, General Manager, with the help of her Assistant Manager, Cassidy Colby, and the Kitchen Manager, Tyler Conley are all working together to make Native Grill & Wings a popular desired destination.
