Business Spotlight – Winsky Farm

One of the greatest aspects of living in New England is the rural landscape. The trees, hills, and fields are a treasure to all those lucky enough to have grown up in this area. As many already know, Oxford has a plethora of rolling hills with amazing views and beautiful farms tucked away in the most comforting of pastures.

In particular, Winsky Farm is a shining beacon. This third generation family owned and operated humane farm is a moving testament to the importance of recognizing and celebrating such a special place. The pride taken in their meat shows, as they only use Hereford red angus cross beef cows. These cows are known for their tender and flavorful cuts. While the all natural, farm raised, USDA Certified beef and pork is a major draw, the experience of Winsky Farm is just as tantalizing. Taking a left on Lovett Road and following the signs, you are well on your way to one of the best trips you can take in Oxford, MA. The quiet rural road opens up to a massive pasture on your right, the hills perfectly surrounding the acreage while cows graze lazily. A roaring welcome sign flashes white and blue as the sweet air bows past. Right on cue a flock of ducks waddles past intent on welcoming every customer. The farm stand itself is a perfect example of New England barn charm. The weathered boards on the outside open up to a golden hued and warm oak interior. Whether it is Tammy Winsky herself, or another delightful member of the family at the counter, you can always be assured of a friendly smile and a cheerful chat. Simplicity is key to the Winsky operation, letting the experience and meat be the star of the show.

In addition to the wonderful beef and pork, Winsky Farm also offers all natural chicken from Baffonis. Like their other products, these chickens have no steroids, no antibiotics, and no hormones. Of course, they also offer farm fresh eggs and mouth watering tomatoes. It is extremely easy to loose yourself in the serenity of the farm, forgetting the hustle and bustle of Sutton Ave, just miles down the road.

Accommodating the customers is of great importance to the Winsky’s, which is why if you cannot make it to their regular hours just give a call and they will work something out with you! They also have a fantastic website which allows you to order your products. After you order you will receive a phone call to set up a time to grab your meats. While they do not accept payment over the internet, the personal attention and care for each customer and order is impeccable. Make sure to stop by and take a gander at one of the most beautiful treasures in Oxford, Massachusetts.
