Caffeinated Awareness: Sturbridge Coffee Roasters gives to Harrington’s Cancer Center
SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. – October 22, 2015 – Every month, Elvis Dyer and his wife, Karen, choose a charity to donate to on the behalf of their business Sturbridge Coffee Roasters. In addition to the charity he is already donating to this month, Dyer will be donating $1 of each bag of freshly roasted coffee to Harrington’s Cancer Center for the rest of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. When patrons buy the pink ribbon bag of ground coffee, they will also receive a coupon for another $1 off a pound of grounds in November as appreciation for their support of the October campaign.
The 48-year-old business owner also gives 10percent off to all Harrington employees year round when they present their ID badge. According to Dyer, eight years ago, Harrington saved his life when he received critical, emergency surgery. He has been a patient for the past 15 years.
“I try to do good for Harrington because they have always been good to me,” he says.
