French-Canadian Genealogy: How and Why
The Crawford Library Genealogy Group is hosting Margaret Fortier this month. Margaret will present on the basics of French-Canadian history as it relates to genealogy on Thursday, March 23rd from 6pm to 7:30pm. She will provide a practical step-by-step approach to research, whether the trail starts in the U.S. or Canada. Margaret is a professional genealogical researcher, writer, and lecturer and has been researching for 17 years. She specializes in 19th and 20th century immigrant ancestors. A graduate of Boston College and Bentley University, she also holds a Certificate in Genealogy Research from Boston University. This event is free and open to the public.
