Life-Skills, Inc. and the Salvation Army Join Forces for the Red Kettle Campaign
“Webster and Dudley needs your help!”
Life-Skills, Inc. is currently looking for volunteers to participate in the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign this holiday season. Tony Yeulenski, Service Unit Coordinator and Tiffany Krasnecky, Outreach Director for the Webster Salvation Army Service Unit are pleased to announce the hiring of six individuals from Life-Skills, Inc. who will actively serve as Salvation Army Bell Ringers during the day Monday through Friday at your local Price Chopper grocery store. We are seeking volunteers (in 1 to 3 hour increments) between the hours of 2 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Saturday to ring the bell. We are also happy to announce a secondary location this kettle season at Park n’ Shop grocery store and New Lakeside & Dudley Insurance Agency, and we are seeking volunteers between the hours of 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. By volunteering to ring the bell or donating money to the Salvation Army Red Kettle you not only help the Salvation Army in your community, but you are also supporting individuals served by Life-Skills, Inc.!
When many of you hear the familiar ring of the Salvation Army bells at Price Chopper it is important to note that at least 82% goes directly to program funding in the local area to help those most in need. The Salvation Army offers food, clothing, medicine, assistance with utility bills and other aid to area residents in financial distress. The Salvation Army also sends children to summer camp in Sharon, MA and provides toys to children and gifts to nursing home residents at Christmas time.
The Kettle Campaign at Price Chopper in Webster, MA officially starts November 14, 2016 at 9 a.m. and concludes on Christmas Eve. If you are interested in volunteering a few hours of your time this holiday season to support both Life-Skills Inc. and the Salvation Army in supporting local people in need, feel free to call Tony Yeulenski at 508-943-0700 x2105. Any help would be appreciated!
