Petco Foundation Invests In Lifesaving Work of Here Today Adopted Tomorrow Animal Sanctuary
Grant of $7,500 will extend efforts to save more animal lives in Brimfield, MA and the surrounding towns

heretodayBrimfield, MA, August 22, 2016– Here Today Adopted Tomorrow Animal Sanctuary of Brimfield, MA, today announced it has been awarded a $7,500 grant from the Petco Foundation. The grant will support its Free Roaming Cat Campaign targeted toward reducing the number of cats entering shelters and will sponsor the 4th Annual Tails on the Trail Walk for the Animals held on September 17, 2016.

Here Today Adopted Tomorrow is a nonprofit organization focused on reducing the number of homeless animals through prevention and adoption services serving Brimfield, MA and the surrounding towns. In December of 2012, Here Today Adopted Tomorrow opened a no kill, cageless cat adoption center and has since helped over 1000 community cats through spay/ neuter and adoption.

The Petco Foundation investment will help to fix 150 feral, stray and owned cats within Brimfield and the surrounding towns, giving them the opportunity to grow up without having litter after litter of kittens. Fixing cats is a key step to reducing the number of animals entering our shelters. By sponsoring the Tails on the Trail Walk for the Animals, the Petco Foundation is investing in an event that will help fund medical care, food, shelter and other services for local homeless and abandoned cats and kittens.

“Here Today Adopted Tomorrow is excited to partner with the Petco Foundation to bring this much needed service to and make a difference in the lives in the animals in our community,” said Rachael Max, President and Executive Director of Here Today Adopted Tomorrow.

About Here Today Adopted Tomorrow Animal Sanctuary

Here Today Adopted Tomorrow was founded by mother-daughter team Barbara Horn and Rachael Max. Here Today is a volunteer driven group focused on reducing the number of homeless animals in our community through prevention and adoption services. In 2012 we opened our no kill, cageless cat adoption center for adult cats and kittens in Brimfield MA. It is deeply important to us that every resident’s stay at Here Today is comfortable and healthy, making for well-adjusted, happy animals. Many shy and fearful cats that do not do well in a traditional shelter flourish in our setting. Shortly after opening, we realized there were more homeless cats than we could handle by adoption alone, so we started programs to spay and neuter the community cats.
