Platters Lead Singer Tony Funches at Oxford Library

OXFORD – The Friends of the Oxford Public Library invite you to an exciting evening of music when Tony Funches, former Lead Vocalist of Herb Reed’s “Original Platters,” performs on Wednesday, May 17th at 6:00 PM in the library’s Meeting Room. The nostalgic performance will include all the Platters’ hits including “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes,” “My Prayer,” “Twilight Time,” “Only You,” “The Great Pretender” and more.

Tony has been performing on stage nearly thirty years, more than twelve of those with The Platters and their last surviving member, Herb Reed. Marvel at the vocal range of this incredible singer, and enjoy his stage personality, style and the ease with which he reproduces the hits of The Platters.

The Oxford Public Library, at 339 Main Street in Oxford Center, is a member of the C/W MARS network and is open to all residents of Massachusetts. The Friends of the Library are volunteers who support the Library with fundraising and promotional activities such as this fun evening.
