FAIRY FEST CELEBRATES 2ND YEAR ON MAIN STREET, PUTNAM
Fairy Fest 2019 to be held on April 13, 2019 ~ Free Admission

PUTNAM CT, March 15 – The magical Main Street Fairy Festival returns to Putnam on Saturday, April 13 2019. The 2019 Fairy Festival is different from its first year; being held over one full day with the addition of several new events and activities. Activities include: 5 performers, 16 artists, 35 juried vendors and a Fairy Godmother Horse-drawn Carriage Rides. Fairy Fest 2019 will host a variety of performances from Emma Lu’s Hula Hoop Dance Party, Story Time with The Fairy Godmother, The Enchanted Fairy Harpist and art installations including the Fairy Door Hunting Map, Fairy Garden Path, The Magical Fairy Library, the Community Fairy Wall Hanging and The Fairy Forest.

Attendees can participate in activities prior to the Festival. Artists are encourage to create fairy doors to welcome our fairies back to Putnam and give them a magical entrance to one of our shops or restaurants to build their homes and gardens. Fairy garden enthusiasts can enter the 2019 Fairy Garden Competition, open to Adults, Children and Families.

Classes in Needle Felting Fairies and Gnomes Fairy Godmother Carriage Rides and Fairy Birthday Parties can be reserved in advance for a fee.

Performance schedule and locations will be announced Tuesday, April 2nd on WINY Radio, DiscoverPutnam.com and FACEBOOK.

ABOUT Fairy Fest 2019: Fairy Fest is an annual street festival celebrating the return of the Fairies to Putnam, showcasing Main Street businesses and local artists. The event is produced by the Downtown Committee with The Putnam Business Association.
Fairy Fest 2019 is for all ages and Fairy Costumes are encouraged. Children’s activities include free crafts, photo opps, and hula hoop dance party, Fairy Garden Contest, Fairy Door Hunt Maps and more. Paid children activities include Fairy Birthday Parties, Fairy Felting Classes and Fairy Godmother Horse & Carriage Rides. Other events include The Magical Fairy Library, Dragon Wood Carving Exhibition, and Fairy Happy Hour, art, music and more.
