Putnam’s Fire & Ice Festival to be held on Saturday, February 10th
PUTNAM, CT. – The Fire & Ice Winter Valentine’s Festival is one of the biggest ice block carving festivals in the United States. A day and night full of professionally and artistically pre-carved ice blocks, along with many local residents and artists (professionals and amateurs) working on ice carving demonstrations. Fire dancers provide sparkling entertainment and luminarias light the streets for added beauty and atmosphere. Enjoy special sales, special shop events, fabulous food and drinks and so much more.
Local restaurants will be having dining and drink specials. The Bradley Playhouse is running two romantic movies. Casablanca will be showing at 2pm and Ghost will be at 5:30pm.
Other events you and your family and friends will be able to enjoy are a professional ice carving demonstration on the patio of 85 Main starting at 2pm. Watch artists transform 300-pound chunks of frozen water into sparkling masterpieces.
Sasha the Fire Gypsy will be performing at 5:00pm and 7:00 pm on Main Street. There will also be a Wedding Cake Competition at the Congregational Church of Putnam. There is too much to list and many surprises.
